The Kingdoms of Magic Book 1 Excerpt
Princess Elise stays vigilant as her eyes scan the forest. She
sees a fairy messenger flying in from the east. The fairy hands
Princess Elise a message. Princess Elise thanks the fairy. The
fairy takes off. Princess Elise opens the message and says angrily,
“It’s from the Princess Caprice of the Magical Falls. She’ll think
about it!”
Daleana looks up at the Princess, and yells in an irate voice,
"She’ll think about it! She’ll think about it! . . . That twit! I have
a mind to go over there and blow her out of the falls! As much as
I have helped her!”
Princess Elise says, “I think you have helped everyone.
Besides, she can be replaced. It’s only by sheer luck she is the
princess there. It’s not like she’s earned it or has blood lines
like the others.”
Daleana, still angry, blurts out, “I may just do that! It’s better to leave a post empty then put someone on it you can’t trust just to fill a hole.
At least with an empty post you know someone isn’t there dragging you down! Of all the nerve!” She shakes her head and thinks for a moment.
“Strange though, something just doesn’t feel right about this, besides her being a twit.”
