The Kingdoms of Magic Book 3 Excerpt

The last guest comes up to her to greet her and has a gift.  He is Prince Sha from the Isle of the Undead.  He belongs to the realm that the island is named after.  He’s dead, but not dead.  A spell was cast on him and his people in battle long ago by the evil wizard Tarkin.  The undead can cast and create magical spells.  As he leans over the table and shakes the Queen’s hand, one of his fingers falls off and lands on the table.  She pays no attention to it.  Prince Sha presents her with a gift.  She accepts it.
Prince Sha turns to Daleana and says in a very kind manner, “It is truly good to see you dear Daleana and, my, my, don’t you look stunning in your new outfit!”  She blushes.
Prince Sha turns to the Queen and says, in all earnest, “I really hope you like it my dear Queen, for they are rare and only I can make them!”
She opens it and inside is a toe.  She looks at it from all angles in wonderment.  She wonders, startled, “A toe?”  She looks at him and smiles not knowing what to make of it, then says, “Ah, Ah yes, I, ah like it, but what am I supposed to do with it?”
Prince Sha, smiling broadly, leans forward a bit and intones, “It’s not for wearing around the neck, I assure you my new, lovely Queen!  I see, you are wondering why I have given you a toe!”  He laughs loudly.  Moving his hands widely as if conducting an orchestra, he wittily recites,
                  “A toe, a toe, a toe, a toe,
                  What a lovely toe!
"What would I give for a toe such as this?
Some love a hug and a kiss!”

Prince Sha leans forward,
“Don’t worry about the hug and the kiss,
People have died for a toe such as this.”
